Collograph. 32 by 40 cm.
There are two Church Coves on the Lizard. This one is very close to the Lizard point in Cornwall. The cove is no more than a tiny crack in the rocks where a very steep slipway leads down the sea. Boats have been hauled up away from the waves. Above the slipway are a cluster of houses and above the houses a lane leading out of the valley. From the headland there is a view back towards Church Cove. In morning when the sun is high the colourful boats are etched brightly and their strong shadows look like cutouts. My collograph aims to portray the three dimensionality of the scene.
