Gold on the Clouds, Snowstorm on the Mountains

This painting was done from a sketch and photographs while walking below Villars, a ski resort in the Swiss alps. The evening light lit the far snow clouds on the Dents du Midi and edged them an apricot pink.

I have experimented with the use of tissue paper and corrugated paper to get volume to the piece.
