Grey Storm Clouds, Sun and Poppies

This painting is one of a series that I did after stopping by the roadside to enjoy the sight of bright red poppies and a contrasting deep grey sky. The grey sky made the poppies in the sun look even brighter,more luminous and luscious. A hedge and oak trees cut the middle distance of the field.
