Porthleven is a working fishing port in southern Cornwall. The entrance to the harbour faces due west. When there is a westerly storm blowing the waves pile straight into the harbour entrance.
I liked the geometric shapes the boats in the harbour presented and the bright interlocking shapes.I have painted a number of paintings from the sketches and photographs I took while in the harbour at low tide.
