On my trips to Cornwall I often visit St Ives because of the wonderful light and the harbour full of boats. I have sketches and noted telling me about the day. The wind was blowing strongly and the waves on the northern Porthmeor beach were crowding in with spume being whipped off the top of each wave as it came crashing in on the beach. Away from the sea swirling sand ripples reflected the bright blue of the sky.
