Snow Clouds on the Mountain

Acrylic and mixed media on canvas. 39 by 30 ins.

While walking opposite the peaks of the Dents du Midi near Geneva I watched the snow clouds whirl round the peaks. Late afternoon sun edged the far ridges bright white. I have experimented with corrugated card, tissue paper and texture paste to try and give body and solidity to the mountains in my composition.
