Acrylic on paper. 39 x 42 ins.
This is not any particular wave. I do my large wave paintings in the summer with the canvas or paper spread out on the grass. The painting is built up in layers over a day or a number of days using brooms, mops, brushes and rags. A large broom with paint is used to try and get the movement of the wave. It is much more difficult to get the same sort of energy into a small painting.
