On a trip to Norfolk I stood on the top of one of shingle bank sea defenses with my sketch book. The crowding waves rushed towards me while my trousers flapped and it was difficult to stand or to hold my sketch book without it being ripped out of my hand. The wind was blowing so hard that it was hard to draw breath.
