Cadgewith is a small fishing village on the Lizard in Cornwall. The village faces east. During the winter fierce storms batter the coast. When a storm is forcast the fishermen pull their boats right up the beach and often into the street.
What interested me was the colourful blobs of colour that the boats and floats made. The small river that ran down the beach led the eye up the beach and towards the boats.
