Sunlight on the waterfall

The same waterfall in north Wales inspired this piece. The position of the rocks on the lip of the waterfall, the large thrusting shapes of the boulders, the perpetual rushing and falling of the water was very exciting, give thrust and counter thrust to the art piece and making strong geometric patterns which were very satisfying. The difficulty for me was in trying to catch some of the ‘magic’ and power and to translate this into my work.
