Three boats tied to the quay

The boats tied to the quay were in St Ives harbour in Cornwall. The light and shade were in sharp focus, the shadows of the boats being almost as strong as the boats. The ropes tying the boats to the land and the heavy rusty chains on the sand which take the eye up the art work towards the boats.
