Yellow net mending

While I was on a visit to Aldeburgh on the east coast in Suffolk, I watched, sketched and photographed two fishermen mending and checking their nets. I liked watching the human activity and industry, the strong colours and interlocking shapes. I have done a number of pieces of the fishermen working in charcaol and in collage.
