Three Walk the Dog by the Poppyfield

According to a farmer's wife who I met, poppies are not a crop that a farmer wants in his crop of wheat. For the artist it is like a special gift and it adds vibrancy, interest and life. This months painting of the month is one of several which came from the same sketch in my sketch book. The interest is the vibrancy of the poppies in the sun and the dark shadows at the edge of the field.
