Yellow Field, Far Wood, Poppy Edge

This is one of a number of paintings that I did after stopping in a lane to sketch and photograph in high summer.

I liked the division of space, the interlocked pale ripe corn in the field, the distant wood on the horizon, and the sun lit bright poppies by the field edge.
