Three Goats in the Olive Orchard

This painting comes after I made a brief stop on route to the beach after getting off the local bus in Skaithos. Several goats were tethered in an old olive grove, their shapes outlined by the bright morning sun. The olive trees cast deep shadows. This was for me the essence of the Mediterranean and Greek life as it was.
