Storm wave in the sun

I love watching the waves crash on the coast of Britain after their long journey across the Atlantic. I have an endless supply of sketches and photographs to use as source material. This silk painting has been drawn free hand using liquid wax as a resist. The silk is stretched and the silk dye or wax added and dried in layers before the painting is steam fixed in my pressure cooker.
